OpenBSD Ports Watcher

pwatcher analyses changes to the OpenBSD ports tree and generates HTML summary output, allowing for a quick overview of new and dropped ports. This analysis runs once every 24 hours. Fetching the feed with less than 120 minute intervals will get you shot - or at least your IP blocked.

Our policy is to actively track the two most recent releases and -current. Previously generated reports for unsupported OS releases will, to the extent possible, be stored for future reference.

Which release do you wish to inspect?

• OpenBSD -current [feed]
• OpenBSD 4.2
• OpenBSD 4.1

Due to hysterical raisins, the following unsupported OpenBSD versions have their ports changes documented as well.

• OpenBSD 4.0
• OpenBSD 3.9
• OpenBSD 3.8
• OpenBSD 3.7

TODO:

• Make a listing like, audio/akode, link to a HTML rendering of the actual port information.
• Track ports that are updated to more recent versions between OS releases.
• Use feedicons.com to signify RSS feeds.
• Extract data from the new databases/sqlports
• Add RSS feed for new ports in -current.
• Contemplate wether to redirect users to http://ports.openbsd.nu.

WILLNOT:

• Track security updates to -stable ports; OpenBSD VuXML does this.
• List packages; OpenBSD package lists already exist.
• Track commits to {src,ports,X.org} -stable; the folks at disruptive proactivity do this.
